Rock Spring Run
Rock Springs Run Kelly Park near Orlando is a hidden gem in Florida. There is a crystal clear freshwater spring that flows out of a cave and forms a beautiful creek run through the woods. You can tube down the run or just swim or snorkel down it. I brought my mask and Gopro along to explore Rock Springs Run at Kelly park.
Silver Springs in Ocala
Folks have been visiting Ocala’s Silver Springs since shortly after the American Civil War. During the Golden Age of Movies, it was a popular filming location. Then it was operated as a nature-based theme park with rides and zoo animals. Today, it’s operated as a Florida State Park. The one consistent? Tours of the springs via the park’s world famous glass bottom boats.
Silver Springs State Park offers some of the most pristine Florida Kayaking in the whole state of Florida and Silver Springs still offers glass bottom boat tours and Silver Springs State Park offers some of the best Florida camping at any of the Florida Springs we have seen.
