Tiramisu is a coffee-flavoured Italian dessert. It is made of ladyfingers dipped in coffee, layered with a whipped mixture of eggs, sugar and mascarpone cheese, flavoured with cocoa. The recipe has been adapted into many varieties of cakes and other desserts.
Ingredients
- 1 cups very strongly prepared espresso
- 1 Tablespoons Kahlua Coffee Liqueur
- 40 ladyfingers
- 16 ounces mascarpone
- 5 large eggs yolk
- 1/2 cup (100g) granulated sugar
- 1 pack of gelatine
- 2 cups (480ml) heavy whipping cream or heavy cream
- 2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- unsweetened natural or dutch-process cocoa powder
